Why I Stopped Surviving and Started Listening

Rachna Singh - From Corporate IT to Soul-Led Living

For a long time, my life looked perfectly fine from the outside.

I had a steady corporate IT job. My schedules were organized, and my days were packed with tasks. To anyone watching, I was doing well. But inside, I felt like I was constantly running on empty.

I wasn’t really living. I was just surviving my days.

Survival mode doesn’t always look like panic. Most of the time, it’s quiet. It looks like:

I was managing my daily tasks, but I had lost touch with myself.

The Turning Point

My shift didn’t happen overnight with one big event. It started with a quiet feeling that kept coming back: Is this how i wanted my life to live?

Moving toward a soul-led life isn’t about destroying everything you built or throwing away your past. It’s simply choosing to change what drives you. It means moving away from:

When I stepped away from my corporate career, I had to let go of an identity built on constant busywork. I decided to stop just getting through the day and start truly living it.

What a Soul-Led Life Means to Me

A soul-led life isn’t about perfection or living without problems. It just means paying attention to your inner voice. It means making choices that feel honest to you and giving yourself permission to live on your own terms.

If you feel stuck on a treadmill right now - whether in a tough job or daily burnout - remember this:

Where you are today is just a phase. It is not where your story ends.

Three Questions for You Today

Take a quiet moment and write down your answers to these simple questions:

  1. Where in your life are you currently running on autopilot?
  2. What is one rule or expectation you are following that doesn’t actually belong to you?
  3. If you trusted your inner voice today, what small change would you make?

You don’t need all the answers today. Just listen to what your inner voice is trying to tell you.

Pause & Reflect

What is one sign that tells that you’ve slipped into survival mode?

Sometimes the words we need find us at just the right moment.
If this post spoke to you, pass it on to another woman who may need the same reminder.
